ASSOCIATE ARTISTS AND VISITING ARTISTS PAST AND PRESENT

First Generation members train with professional artists. 

Workshops focus on building skills and supporting the creation of performance pieces. 

Potential artists may include current and former Performance Project collaborators.

MENTORING, TUTORING, AND TEACHING

College and graduate students intern as mentors and tutors. First Generation high school members mentor younger children, leading activities that integrate the arts, literacy, and leadership development.

 

FIELD TRIPS, LEADERSHIP TRAININGS, AND RETREATS

First Generation attends theater and dance performances, and cultural events at theaters and universities in the Pioneer Valley, New Haven, Hartford, Boston and New York. We climb mountains, pick apples and participate in leadership trainings!
